(SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Oct. 25)--The McKendree University hockey team snapped a two-game skid with an 8-4 victory Friday night at Robert Morris University-Springfield.

Senior forward Nic Rolla (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) posted a hat trick and added an assist to lead a productive McKendree offense against the Eagles. The Bearcats are now 3-2 on the year and will return to Robert Morris-Springfield Saturday for the final game in their two-game weekend-series.

Junior defenseman Brendan Whitt (Granite City, IL/Granite City) added a goal and two assists, while junior forward Carlos Galvan (Mulvane, KS/Mulvane) collected two goals and handed out an assist in the victory. Senior forward Andrew Olden (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) helped out with two assists for the Bearcats.

Freshman goalie Tony Salamone (Jefferson City, MO/Jefferson City) stopped 29 Robert Morris-Springfield shots to pick up his third victory of the season.
