The McKendree University men's soccer team will end close out its season with three-straight games at home, beginning with two contests this weekend.

The Bearcats host University of Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m., followed by a home game against Maryville University on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2:30 p.m.


SENIOR DAY ON WEDNESDAY: The Bearcats will honor its senior team members in a ceremony prior to its regular season finale against University of Illinois-Springfield on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

SCOUTING THE TRITONS: University of Missouri-St. Louis enters the weekend with an overall record of 7-6-1 and a 6-5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Tritons are unbeaten in their last four games, earning a 2-0 win over Illinois-Springfield last Friday, before tying Southern Indiana, 0-0, in double overtime on Sunday. Sophomore midfielder Jon Huelsman leads UMSL with six goals this season. McKendree leads the all-time series 6-5-1.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS: Maryville University enters the weekend with an overall mark of 1-12 and a 1-11 record in the GLVC. The Saints have lost five-straight games, dropping contests to Southern Indiana and Illinois-Springfield last weekend by 3-1 scores. Junior forward Gus Reinitz leads Maryville with four goals and an assist this season. McKendree leads the all-time series, 11-2.

ARMISTEAD MOVES UP IN TOP 10: Sophomore goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) recently moved into the top 10 in the McKendree record books. Armistead is ranked sixth all-time with a 1.64 goals-against average, sixth with 107 career saves, and is tied for eighth place with eight career wins in goal.
