The McKendree University men's soccer team will honor its two senior's prior to tonight's season-ending game against University of Illinois-Springfield.
The Bearcats host the Prairie Stars at 7:30 p.m., tonight at Leemon Field.
SENIOR NIGHT: We'd like to congratulate Blessing Tupiri (Harare, Zimbabwe/Falcon College) and Dominique Jones (Washington, Mo./Cape Central) on completing their soccer careers at McKendree tonight. We'd also like to wish them both the best of luck in all their future endeavors.
SCOUTING THE PRAIRIE STARS: University of Illinois-Springfield enters Wednesday night's game with an overall record of 7-10 and a 6-8 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Prairie Stars split its pair of games last weekend, dropping a 4-2 decision against Quincy on Friday, before earning a 1-0 victory over Truman State on Sunday. Illinois-Springfield is led by senior midfielder Nicolas Alonso del Moral's five goals and four assists this season. McKendree trails in the all-time series against the Prairie Stars, 6-13-2.
MILESTONE WATCH: Sophomore goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) recently moved into the top 10 in the McKendree record books. Armistead is ranked sixth all-time with a 1.64 goals-against average, sixth with 107 career saves, and is tied for eighth place with eight career wins in goal.
