Box Score (DENVER, Colo., March 14)- The McKendree women's lacrosse team ended its spring break road swing through Colorado on Thursday with a 23-3 loss at Regis University.
The Bearcats fall to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association with the loss and will host a pair of games at home this weekend. McKendree will play Adams State University in a conference contest on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m., followed by a non-conference game on Sunday against University of Findlay at Noon.
Sophomore midfielder
Danielle Amann-Stewart (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) put the Bearcats on the board with 16:43 to play in the first half with a goal off an assist from freshman attacker/defender
Rianne Holzmeyer (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood West). The goal was Amann-Stewart's second of the season, while Holzmeyer's assist was her second of the year.
Freshman midfielder
Bree Suter (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) scored two goals in the contest. She scored unassisted with 2:11 remaining in the first half, and again on a free position attempt 44-seconds into the second half. The two goals brought her season total to a team-high 14 in her first collegiate season. She also had a team-high four draw controls in the contest.
Freshman goalie
Kelly Eastman (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) played all 60 minutes in the cage and had a season-high 14 saves in the loss.
