Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., March 2)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team suffered its first loss on Saturday to visiting Indiana Institute of Technology 17-6.
The Bearcats fall to 1-1 overall and will travel to the state of Colorado to play five conference games over an eight-day stretch. McKendree will play Lake Erie College on Friday, March 8 in Grand Junction, Co., at 4 p.m. MST.

Shirley Boland (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) cut the deficit to 3-1 with 23:18 left in the first half.
The Warriors pushed their lead out to 6-1, but freshman midfield
Sarah Collins (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) scored on a free position attempt with just over 11 minutes to go in the half to bring McKendree within 6-2.
Indiana Tech's offense kept up the pressure and scored six more goals in the opening half and the Bearcats trailed, 12-2, at the break.
The Warriors opened the second half with two goals, but McKendree answered with goals by
Lia Hanenburg (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood West) and Collins at the 20:59 and 10:59 marks, respectively, to cut the deficit to 14-4.
Indiana Tech added three goals in a span of 2:31 to extend its lead to 17-4, but sophomore midfield
Danielle Amann-Stewart (Mascoutah, Ill./Mascoutah) and freshman midfield
Bree Suter (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) added goals in the final 53 seconds of play to end the game 17-6.
