Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Sep. 22)- The McKendree University women's soccer team scored a goal late in the seocnd half, but couldn't get any closer and lost a conference game to Rockhurst University 3-1 on Sunday.
The Bearcats fall to 3-2-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will travel to Springfield, Mo., on Friday, Sep. 27 to face Drury University at 1:30 p.m.
Rockhurst kept constant pressure on McKendree early and took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute on a goal by Caroline Brandt.
The Hawks struck again in the 49th minute on a goal by Morgan Dahm to take a 2-0 lead, but the Bearcats cut the deficit in half on a goal by sophomore midfielder
Cassie Kaiping (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) on a pass from senior midfielder
Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) to make the score 2-1.
Rockhurst put things out of reach in the 81st minute on a goal by Kasey Lierz to make the score 3-1.

Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) fell to 2-2-2 overall and had two saves in the loss. Sophomore goalkeeper
