The McKendree University men's soccer team will play two conference games on the road this weekend.

The Bearcats will play its second consecutive ranked opponent on Friday, Sep. 27 at No. 7 Drury University. The Panthers are currently 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

On Sunday, McKendree will make a stop in Rolla, Mo., for a 2:30 p.m., matchup at Missouri S&T. The Miners enter the weekend with a 4-2 mark overall and a 3-1 record in the GLVC.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Drury enters the weekend ranked No. 7 in the latest NSCAA Division II ranking with an overall record of 6-1 and a 3-1 record in the GLVC. The Panthers won two games on the road last weekend, edging Illinois-Springfield, 1-0, on Friday night, before earning a 2-1 win at Southern Indiana on Sunday. Junior forward Brett Steere leads Drury with five goals and one assist this season. The Panthers lead the all-time series between the two schools with a 1-0-1 record. Drury edged McKendree, 2-1, in overtime last season.

SCOUTING THE MINERS: Missouri S&T enters the weekend with an overall record of 4-2 with a 3-1 mark in the GLVC. The Miners swept its weekend games last weekend, earning a 1-0 win at Southern Indiana on Friday, before picking up a 3-2 victory in double overtime at Illinois-Springfield on Sunday. Sophomore midfielder Alex Reifschneider leads the Miners with three goals this season. Missouri S&T leads the all-time series, 4-1-1, and McKendree lost last years meeting 1-0.

ARMISTEAD CRACKS THE TOP 10: Sophomore goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) recently moved into the top 10 in the McKendree record books. Armistead is tied for ninth place with seven career wins in goal, and is ranked 10th with 58 career saves.
