Box Score (ROLLA, Mo., Sept. 29)- The McKendree University women's soccer team got all the scoring it needed in the first half on Sunday in a 3-0 win at Missouri S&T.

The Bearcats improved to 4-3-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference following the victory, and will host University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. in a GLVC contest.

McKendree got on the scoreboard, 1-0, in the 24th minute on goal by freshman forward Alyssa Reiniger (Maryville, Ill./Collinsville) off a pass from sophomore forward Alyssa Patterson (Troy, Ill./Triad). Reiniger's goal was the first of her collegiate career.

The Bearcats appeared to be headed into the half with a one goal lead, but sophomore Lauren Mantei (Springfield, Ill./Rochester) scored on a pass from junior midfielder Mary Geiger (Fairmont City, Ill./Althoff Catholic) in the 43rd minute to make the score 2-0 at the break.

Senior midfielder Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) scored off an assist by senior defender Allie Hayes (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word Academy) in the 87th minute to score the final goal of the contest and earn the 3-0 win.

Senior goalkeeper Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) had two saves in the win and improved to 3-2-2 overall on the season. It was also her second shutout of the season.
