Box Score (LIBERTY, Mo., Oct. 19)- The McKendree University men's soccer team scored the only goal it needed in the second half on Sunday in a 1-0 win at William Jewell College.

The Bearcats improve to 4-8-2 overall and 4-7-2 in the Great Lakes Valley COnference and will travel to Evansville, Ind., on Friday, Oct. 24 to face University of Southern Indiana at 7:30 p.m.

McKendree was the aggressor for the majority fo the contest on Sunday, outshooting the hosts 20-6, including placing six on frame, in the win. The lone goal of the contest came in the 63rd minute off a free kick by senior defender Connor Cassidy (Glasgow, Scotland/St. Andrews), his second goal of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) improved to 4-7-1 overall and had one save in the victory.
