(ROMEOVILLE, Ill., Oct. 3)- The McKendree University women's soccer team won its fourth-straight game on Friday night in a 1-0 win at Lewis University.
The Bearcats improved to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will travel to Somers, Wis., on Sunday to play No. 11 University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 2:30 p.m.
The McKendree offense was very efficient in the contest, taking 11 shots and placing eight on frame. The Bearcats got the only goal they needed in the 34th minute when junior midfielder
Alyssa Patterson (Troy, Ill./Triad) came up the right side and beat the charging Flyer goalkeeper for the only goal of the game. The goal was Patterson's second of the season.

Taylor Zerbe (St. Louis, Mo./Trinity Catholic) improved to 5-1 overall and grabbed three saves in McKendree's fourth-straight shutout.
