Box Score (SOMERS, Wis., Oct. 5)- A goal by freshman midfielder Aubrey Disseler (Quincy, Ill./Quincy Senior High School) early in the second half broke open a tie game and helped the McKendree University men's soccer team to a 2-1 win at University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Bearcats improve to 3-5-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will host Missouri S&T on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The Rangers took an early 1-0 lead on a header goal in the sixth minute, but McKendree tied the game, 1-1, in the 38th minute on a goal by sophomore midfielder Callum Kiddell (Auckland, New Zealand/Mount Albert Grammar School) off of a free kick by senior defender Connor Cassidy (Glasgow, Scotland/St. Andrews).

Disseler put the Bearcats in front with his first collegiate goal in the 49th minute off of an assist by senior forward C.J. Cerna (Collinsville, Ill./Collinsville). Junior goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) grabbed five saves and improved to 3-4-2 in goal this seaosn with the victory.
