(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Oct. 8)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team has teamed up with LB3 Lacrosse in St. Louis this fall to help young players build on their skills.
The Bearcats have been volunteering on Sunday's since August with middle school and high school players to teach techniques and fundamentals. Team members also serve as coaches for the inidividual teams during scrimmages.
"The opportunity to give back and help promote lacrosse in the ST. Louis area has been an honor," said head coach
Melissa Pearsall. "We've really enjoyed working with the younger players and helping them develop their skills every weekend. Watching the team take what they are learning from practice and then applying that to teach the same skills has been very exciting to see."
The McKendree University women's alcrosse team will begin its season on Friday, Feb. 13 in a home match against Fort Lewis College at 5 p.m.
