(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 13)--
The McKendree University football team will put its win streak to the test one final time in 2014 as the Bearcats will close out the season on Saturday with a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Quincy University. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Flinn Stadium in Quincy, Ill. The game can be heard live on the Bearcat Sports Network (www.mckbearcats.com/watch) beginning with the pre-game show 15 minutes prior to kickoff.

Two of the hottest teams in the GLVC will be meeting in Saturday's McKendree-Quincy tilt. The Bearcats are 4-6 overall, having won their last four outings, while they are 4-3 in GLVC play. Quincy had a four-game win streak stopped last Saturday, but sits at 6-4 on the year and is also 4-3 in the league. The teams are tied for third place in the GLVC standings along with William Jewell College and Saint Joseph's College, The foursome trails the University of Indianapolis (7-0) and Truman State University (5-2) in the conference standings.

McKendree stretched its win streak to four consecutive games with a 56-36 victory last Saturday at Lincoln University. The Bearcats rolled up a season-high in points while collecting 561 yards of total offense. Isaac Fisher (Washington, IL/Washington) added another record to his 2014 collection by throwing for five touchdown passes against the Blue Tigers, topping the previous best of four established by older brother Austin in a 2010 game at Quincy. Isaac Fisher (Washington, IL/Washington) threw for 249 yards against Lincoln and added another 73 rushing yards in last week's effort.

Defensively, two McKendree players etched their names in the record books for new season marks. Linebacker A.J. Wentland (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) became the Bearcats' single-season leader in tackles, boosting his mark to 120 on the year. That topped the old record of 108 set by Brandon Nigro in 2011. Lucky Baar (Chicago, IL/Morgan Park) registered a sack in his fourth straight game and moved past Oku Satcher for the top spot on the team's season list. Baar now has 14 sacks this season, one more than the mark Satcher set in 1999 and matched again in 2001.

Quincy enters Saturday's matchup following a 17-14 loss last week at Truman State. The Hawks overcame a 14-point deficit to tie the game before a late field goal helped the host Bulldogs hang on for the win. Quarterback Nick Lonergan was 19-of-25 in the contest for 191 yards with a touchdowns. Owen Scheoenenbarger grabbed a team-leading five passes for 67 yards.

This will be the 16th meeting between the two schools since 1996. McKendree holds an 11-4 edge in the all-time series against Quincy, with the Bearcats winning last year's battle at Leemon Field, 51-16. While McKendree is undefeated at home against Quincy (8-0), the Hawks have won four of the seven meetings in Quincy.

BEARCAT TRACKS
THAT'S A WRAP: Since the revival of the football program in 1996, McKendree has posted a record of 12-6 in regular-season finales. The Bearcats are 9-1 in their last 10 scheduled regular-season tilts.

MILESTONE AWAY FROM HOME: Today's game at Quincy will mark the 100th road contest for the McKendree football program since the University revived the sport prior to the 1996 season. The Bearcats have a record of 53-46 (.535) away from the friendly confines of Leemon Field.

BEARCATS vs. THE LAND OF LINCOLN: McKendree has posted a record of 53-18 against schools from the state of Illinois since reviving the football program prior to the 1996 season. The Bearcats are 22-15 in road contests versus their in-state rivals.

UNCHARTERED TERRITORY: McKendree has had eight seasons where they have played at least 11 games. Today's game will mark the first time that the Bearcats have played an 11th regular-season game on their schedule.

PUTTING UP THE POINTS: During the Bearcats' four-game winning streak, McKendree has averaged 44.3 points per contest. This marks the most prolific four-game scoring outburst for McKendree since the 2000 season, when the Bearcats averaged 48 points per outing over the final four games of a seven-game win streak that year.

CONFERENCE BACK IN SESSION: McKendree has collected wins in each of its last four conference games. That is a first for the Bearcats in GLVC play since joining the league in 2012. McKendree will be looking for its first five-game win streak since the team's days as members of the Mid-States Football Association-Midwest League. The Bearcats put together a 12-game conference win streak spanning the 2008 through 2010 seasons.

WENTLAND TACKLES McKENDREE RECORD BOOK: Thanks to his 14 tackles last Saturday against Lincoln, sophomore linebacker A.J. Wentland (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) has become the Bearcats' single-season leader in the category. Wentland enters today's contest with 120 tackles on the season, topping the old mark of 108 which was established by Brandon Nigro in 2011.

KICKING UP SOME CONSISTENCY: Sophomore kicker Steven O'Block (Libertyville, IL/Carmel Catholic) has converted his last eight field goal attempts, including a career-high three in the Bearcats' victory at Lincoln. That is the longest streak of consecufive field goals made since the 1999-2000 seasons, when Brian Schneider hit a school-record 10 in a row. Schneider made all nine of his field goal tries in 1999, then hit his first attempt of the 2000 campaign.

SACK MASTER: Sophomore defensive lineman Lucky Baar (Chicago, IL/Morgan Park) has become the single-season leader in sacks for McKendree. He had one sack at Lincoln, giving him 14 for the season. That breaks the previous team record of 13 that he shared with Oku Satcher, who reached the mark in 1999 and again in 2001. In addition, Baar has 21 1/2 tackles for loss heading into the season finale. The Bearcats' team record is 23, which was set by Satcher during the 1999 season.

GATTI GOING FOR THE CENTURY MARK: Senior wide receiver Dewayne Gatti (Pasadena, CA/Bonita) enters today's game against Quincy with 99 career receptions. He needs just one catch to become the first receiver in McKendree football history with 100 career receptions. In addition to holding the Bearcats' record in career receptions, Gatti is also the program's career leader in receiving yards with 1,313. He needs two touchdown grabs to tie the McKendree career mark of 12, which is held by Brett Gross.

HERRING MOVES TO 12th ON BEARCATS' CAREER RUSHING LIST: Senior running back Ryan Herring (Fairview Heights, IL/Belleville East) now has 1,413 yards with the Bearcats and has moved into 12th place on the all-time list. The next three players on the Bearcats' career rushing list are:
9) Jacob Rohman -- 1,592 yards
10) Marlone Chenault -- 1,448 yards
11) Lamont Benn -- 1,436 yards

FISHER'S FLEET FEET: Junior quarterback Isaac Fisher (Washington, IL/Washington) has set a new McKendree record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a season. Fisher enters today's game with a team-leading 665 yards on the ground. The previous record for most rushing yards by a McKendree quarterback came in 1998, when Billy Gray gained 220 yards.

FISHER'S CAREER RECORDS: Isaac Fisher (Washington, IL/Washington) continues to add to his McKendree career records in several offensive categories. He enters today's game as the Bearcats' all-time leader in total offense (6,279 yards), pass attempts (851), pass completions (510),passing yards (5,432 yards) and passing TDs (42).

FISHER'S SEASON RECORDS: In addition to setting new career records in the aforementioned categories, Isaac Fisher (Washington, IL/Washington) has broken the Bearcats' season marks for total offense (3,103 yards), pass attempts (394), pass completions (243) and passing yards (2,438 yards) that he established just last year. He needs one passing TD to tie the record of 19 that he established in 2013.

CAMERON CAN DO: Considered one of the top return specialists in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, junior wide receiver Cameron James (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) has become the Bearcats' career leader in kick returns with 51. He also sits second on the program's career list for kick return yards (1,118 yards), fourth in punt return yards (498 yards), third in all-purpose yards (3,352 yards), fifth in punt returns (39) and is tied for seventh in scoring (116 points).
