Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Sep. 21)- The McKendree University men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with No. 11 Quincy University on Sunday, but a goal by the Hawks with 24-seconds left in the second overtime period ended the upset bid.

The Bearcats fall to 1-4-1 overall and 1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will host University of Indianapolis on Friday, Sep. 26 at 7:30 p.m., or a GLVC match.

The Hawks outshot McKendree 22-8 in the contest, but Quincy only placed five on frame in the game. The Bearcats were 24 seconds away from earning a draw, but a shot by Xhovani Dokaj found its way into the back of the net to end the game.

Junior goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) had four saves in the loss and fell to 1-3-1 overall this season.
