The Bearcats travel west to Oklahoma City, Okla., for their season opener against Saint Mary's University (Texas) on Thursday, Sep. 4 at 2 p.m., and will host their home opener on Sunday, Sep. 6 at 2 p.m.
SCOUTING THE RATTLERS: Thursday's game is the first all-time meeting between the two teams, and is the first time McKendree has played a school from the state of Texas since a 3-0 win over Texas Lutheran on Sep. 11, 1999. Saint Mary's finished the 2013 season with an overall record of 4-12. The Bearcats have won 11-straight season openers.
SCOUTING THE MIGHTY OAKS: The Mighty Oaks started the week with an overall record of 1-0 this season and play at Bellarmine University Thursday night. Oakland City finished the 2013 season with an overall record of 11-6-2. McKendree won the only previous meeting between the two programs in Sep. 22, 2001, 3-2, in double overtime.
