(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Oct. 11)- The McKendree University men's soccer team gave up a goal with just over five minutes remaining in regulation to fall 2-1 at University of Indianapolis on Sunday.
The Bearcats fall to 4-7 overall and 4-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will host University of Missouri-St. Louis for a GLVC contest on Friday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m.
McKendree only took three shots in the first half, but made their limited opportunities count with a goal by
Andrew Ducharme (Edwardsville, Ill./Triad High School) in the 36th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Greyhounds responded early in the second half with a goal in the 49th minute minute to tie the game 1-1. The game appeared to be headed to overtime, but Indianapolis scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 85th minute to take a 2-1 lead and earn the win.

Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) fel to 4-7 overall and had 10 saves in the loss.
