(LEBANON, Ill., October 18)- The McKendree University men's soccer team lost a Great Lakes Valley Conference match to Maryville University on Sunday 3-0.

The Bearcats fall to 5-8 overall and 5-7 in the GLVC and will travel to Quincy, Ill., to play Quincy University on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. for a conference match.

Both teams took seven shots in the first half, but the Saints came away with goals in the 29th, 36th, and 40th minutes to lead 3-0 at the half. McKendree took 21 shots in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net due to an 11-save performance from Maryville goalkeeper Christian Kjaersgaard.

Senior goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) fell to 5-8 overall with the loss and had five saves.
