(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 4)- The McKendree University men's soccer team lost a Great Lakes Valley Conference match to Lewis University on Sunday 1-0.

The Bearcats fall to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the GLVC, and will travel to Rensselaer, Ind., on Friday, Oct. 9 to face Saint Joseph's College at 7:30 p.m.

McKendree was unable to convert its shot opportunities in the contest, outshooting the Flyers, 16-15, but only placing four shots on goal. Lewis scored the lone goal of the contest in the 65th minute to earn a 1-0 win.

Senior Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) fell to 4-5 overall and had four saves in the loss.
