Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 28)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team won its 2015 season opener in record fashion on Saturday in a 22-3 win over Missouri Baptist University.
The Bearcats are 1-0 on the season and will host Colorado State University-Pueblo on Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m.
McKendree's 22 goals in the game set a new school record, passing the 18 scored on April 27 last season against Rockhurst University. Sophomore midifeld
Morgan Cremen (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) set a new single-game school record with seven goals and also tallied one assist, while fellow sophomore midfield
Victoria Lelo (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) had five goals to go along with an assist. Junior attack

Hannah Schneider (Ellisville, Mo./Lafayette), and freshman
Paige Salthouse (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) each had two goals, while Salthouse also tied a school record with three assists. Junior attacks

Krystin Major (Arnold, Md./Indian Creek), and freshman attack
Mia Fiore (Eureka, Mo./Eureka High School) and freshman midfield

Amy Porta (Ellisville, Mo./Marquette) played all 60 minutes in the cage and had three saves in the win to improve to 1-0 on the season.
The Bearcats scored the first 11 goals of the game to jump out to a huge lead in the first half. McKendree added six more goals before the break to take a 17-3 lead at the half. McKendree scored five goals in the second half to add to the total and come away with the 22-3 win.
