Box Score (CHICAGO, Ill., March 14)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team rolled to its fifth-straight win on Saturday in a 19-2 win over Robert Morris University-Chicago.
The Bearcats improved to 5-0 and travel to Fort Wayne, Ind., to face Indiana Tech on Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. ET.
Sophomore
Victoria Lelo (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) led all players with five goals, while sophomore
Morgan Cremen (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) had four goals. Sophomore
Rianne Holzmeyer (Hazelwood, Mo./Hazelwood West) and freshman
Mia Fiore (Eureka, Mo./Eureka High School) each had three goals, junior
Bree Suter (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) had two goals, and sophomore
Melissa Gardner (Fenton, Mo./Rockwood Summit) and freshman
Dana DiPasquale (St. Charles, Mo./Barat Academy) each had one goal a piece. Sophomore
Hannah Schneider (Ellisville, Mo./Lafayette) and Fiore also each had two assists, while Fiore also led McKendree with eight draw controls.
The Bearcats scored the first five goals of the game before the Eagles cut the deficit with two goals to make the score 5-2. McKendree went on to score the next 14 goals of the game, with five of those coming in the second half.
