Box Score (KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 8)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team won its third-straight match on Sunday following a 20-2 win over Rockhurst University.
The Bearcats improve to 3-0 and will play Midland University on Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m., in Kansas City, Mo.
Sophomore
Victoria Lelo (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) led all players with five goals, while junior
Bree Suter (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and freshman
Mia Fiore (Eureka, Mo./Eureka High School) each added three goals. Sophomore
Hannah Schneider (Ellisville, Mo./Lafayette) and
Morgan Cremen (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley), and freshmen
Dana DiPasquale (St. Charles, Mo./Barat Academy) and
Paige Salthouse (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) had two goals each, while junior
Krystin Major (Arnold, Md./Indian Creek) had one goal. DiPasquale had three a team-high three assists, while Lelo had two assists, and Suter had one.
Junior
Shirley Boland (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) and sophomore
Ola Abdullah (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood West) had five and three ground balls, respectively.
McKendree scored 15 first-half goals, its second-highest one half total so far this season, and led 15-2 at the break. The Bearcats added five more goals in the second half to earn the win.
