Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., April 10)- The McKendree University women's lacrosse team lost its first conference match of the season on Friday to Lake Erie College 14-10.

The Bearcats are now 9-2 overall and 2-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and will travel to Allendale, Mich., to face Grand Valley State University on Sunday, April 10 at 12 p.m. ET.

Paige Salthouse (St. Louis, Mo./Ursuline Academy) led McKendree with four goals and two assists, while Hannah Schneider (Ellisville, Mo./Lafayette) had two goals and two assists and Victoria Lelo (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) also had two goals. Dana DiPasquale (St. Charles, Mo./Barat Academy) and Mia Fiore (Eureka, Mo./Eureka High School) each had one goal to round out the Bearcat scoring. Salthouse also had five draw controls in the loss. Amy Porta (Ellisville, Mo./Marquette) fell to 9-2 overall and had four saves in goal.

The Bearcats scored 43-seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead, but the Storm tied the game, 1-1, a minute later. McKendree outscored Lake Erie 5-2 over the next 10 minutes, but the Storm scored four-straight to take a 7-6 lead, but the Bearcats tied the game with a goal with 2:55 left in the half. The Storm scored the first two goals of the second half to take a 9-7 lead, and a free position goal by Lelo brought the Bearcats within 9-8. Both teams exchanged goals over the next eight minutes and the Bearcats trailed 11-10 with 7:09 left to play, but the Storm scored three goals to finish regulation.
