(LEBANON, Ill., Sep. 18)- The McKendree University men's soccer team broke open a scoreless game with three second-half goals on Friday to earn a 3-0 win over William Jewell College.

The Bearcats improve to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will host No. 22 Rockhurst University on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

McKendree dominated the first half offensively with a 7-2 shot advantage, but were unable to find the back of the net to head into the break tied 0-0. The Bearcats broke through in the 59th minute on a goal by Andrew Ducharme (Edwardsville, Ill./Triad High School) on an assist by David Cole (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) to take a 1-0 lead, and a header by Cardinal defender that went into their own goal on a clear attempt put McKendree in front 2-0 in the 62nd minute. Boris Kiesse-Makangu (Beaumont Sur Oise, France/Lycee Evariste Galois) scored the final goal of the game on an assist by Vijay Brahmbhatt (Belleville, Ill./Althoff Catholic High School) in the 76th minute to increase the lead to 3-0.

Goalkeeper Scott Armistead (Auckland, New Zealand/Saint Peter's College) improved to 3-1 overall this season and posted his third-straight shutout with the win.
