(LEBANON, Ill., Sep.5)- The McKendree University men's soccer team will open its 2015 season on Sunday on the road in Oakland City, Ind., at 2 p.m., at Oakland City University.

SCOUTING THE MIGHTY OAKS: Oakland City heads into Sunday's game with a record of 0-0-1 after tying Harris-Stowe State University 0-0 in double overtime on August 28, before ___ at Saint Joseph's College on Friday. The Mighty Oaks earned a 5-4 win in overtime last season in McKendree's season opener.

GLVC PRESEASON POLL: The Bearcats were picked to finish in 12th place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason ranking. McKendree finished last season with an overall record of 5-10-2 with a 5-9-1 mark in the GLVC.

HEAD COACH JOHN VanBUSKIRK: McKendree head coach John VanBuskirk is entering his third season as head coach for the men's soccer team at McKendree. He has an overall record of 9-22-3 with the Bearcats.
