(Liberty, Mo., Oct. 16) – The McKendree University men's soccer tied William Jewell College in a 1-1 contest. The Bearcats are now 3-6-3 overall and 2-5-3 in the GLVC.
In the contest the Cardinals would outshoot the Bearcats 16-14.
Andrew Ducharme (Edwardsville, Ill./Triad ) would put McKendree on the board as he found the back of the net in the 13th minute of play to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. Jan Peters (Suedergellersen, Germany/Gymnasium Oedeme) assisted the goal.
Gavin Kiger would tie the match at 1-1 as he netted a goal in the 67th minute.
In net for the Bearcats was Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy). Bender collected four saves on the day.
McKendree returns home on Friday, October 21 as they welcome University of Southern Indiana for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
