Women's Soccer Wins At William Jewell

(Liberty, Mo., Oct. 16) – The McKendree University women's soccer team improved to 11-4 overall and 8-4 in the GLVC as they defeated William Jewell College in a 2-0 contest.

The Bearcats would control the contest as they outshot the Cardinals 24-6 in the match.

Sydnee Carroll (Millstadt, IL/Belleville West) would put McKendree on the board as she found the back of the net in the 70th minute of play to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead.

In the 87th minute, Carroll would add another for her 15th goal of the season increasing the Bearcat lead to 2-0.

In net for the Bearcats was Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering ). Brochu collected two saves on the day and picked up her seventh shutout.

McKendree returns home on Friday, October 21 as they welcome University of Southern Indiana for a 5:00 p.m. contest.
