(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 4) – The McKendree University men's water polo team hits the road for California this week. Thursday, October 6, the Bearcats stop at the University of Redlands for an exhibition game at 7 p.m. PT. Following that game, McKendree will compete in the Gary Troyer Tournament on October 7 & 8, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer.

The Bearcats are (9-6) overall on the season, with a record of (7-1) in division play. McKendree has the No. 1 seed heading into the CWPA Missouri Valley Division Championships on October 14-16. The Bearcats will play against No. 8 seed Truman State to begin the tournament.
 
In anticipation of the Gary Troyer Tournament, McKendree will play an exhibition match against the University of Redlands Bulldogs at 7 p.m. PT in Redlands, CA. The Bulldogs are (7-9) overall this season, winning their last four games.
 
McKendree will compete in the Gary Troyer Tournament, playing four games over Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Bearcats take on Occidental College at 10:15 a.m. PT at Haldeman Pool on the Pomona-Pitzer College campus. At 2:50 p.m. PT on Friday, McKendree will play Caltech at Axelrood Pool on the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College campus. Saturday, at 9:15 a.m. PT McKendree will battle it out with Whittier College at Axelrood Pool. The Bearcats last match of the tournament comes against Cal Baptist at 4:10 p.m. PT on Saturday at Haldeman Pool.
 
All games during the tournament will be live streamed. Links to the games, box scores, directions to the pools, and other additional information can be found on the Gary Troyer Tournament website. The site will be updated with the final scores as the matches are completed, and at the conclusion of the tournament an All-Tournament team will be created.
