(Lebanon, Ill., Oct. 7) – The McKendree University men's soccer fell to 2-4-2 overall, and 1-4-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) standings as the team dropped a 1-0 contest against Missouri S&T.

The Bearcats controlled the first half of the match as they outshot the Miners 6-2 heading into the half.

The Bearcats would trade shots back and forth in the second half as the shot total would end at 11-10 with the Miners holding the advantage.

In the 80^th minute Unnar Ulfarsson would break the stalemate as he was able to find the back of the net on a free kick placed just outside of the Bearcat defensive box.

In net for McKendree was Eddie Starr (Columbia, IL/Columbia ). Starr collected four saves on the day.

McKendree is back in action Sunday when they host Drury University for a 2:30 p.m. contest at Leemon Field.
