(Lebanon, Ill. Nov. 2) -- The McKendree University women's soccer team will continue the journey for its first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament title on Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. ET at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana as they will face Truman State University in a conference semifinal contest.
This will be McKendree's first GLVC Tournament semifinal appearance since joining the conference in 2012. The Bearcats will look to continue their hot streak as they are currently on a five-game win streak.

As a team, McKendree leads the GLVC in goals with 40. Entering Friday's contest, the Bearcats are second in the conference in points with 114, and in assists with 34, trailing Rockhurst in both categories.
Individually,
Sydnee Carroll (Millstadt, IL/Belleville West) leads the conference in goals with 16. This ranks her ninth nationally in DII. Carroll also leads the conference in game-winning goals with nine.
Chelsea Whittaker (Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand/St Hilda's Collegiate School) is currently tied in third in the GLVC with six assists.
Scouting the Bulldogs: Truman State enters Friday's match at 14-1-3 overall. The Bulldogs currently lead the GLVC in save percentage at .924 and shutouts with 14. The Bulldog defense led by goalkeeper Katie Mattingly has allowed five goals this season, the lowest in the conference. Mattingly, has found her home in net for the Bulldogs playing in all but 14:38 minutes this season.
Last Meeting: Earlier this season, on Sept. 10, Truman State delivered the Bearcats their only home loss of the 2016 campaign in a 1-0 contest. In the match, McKendree outshot Truman 12-10. In the 82
nd minute of play, Laura Ney broke the ice as she headed a ball into the back of the net. McKendree put together a late rush with shots coming from
Alyssa Reiniger (Maryville, IL/Collinsville) and
Sydnee Carroll (Millstadt, IL/Belleville West) however, the Bulldog defense held strong.
Tournament Action: Rockhurst will play Missouri-St. Louis on Nov. 4 at 12 p.m. ET at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis. The winner of this match will face the winner of the McKendree, Truman match for the GLVC Tournament championship on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 12 p.m. ET at Carroll Stadium.
