(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 24)- The McKendree University women's basketball team will host University of Illinois Springfield on Thursday in its final regular season game of the year at 5:30 p.m.

SCOUTING THE PRAIRIE STARS: University of Illinois Springfield enters the week with an overall record of 8-17 with a 2-15 mark in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars have lost five straight games, including both of their games last weekend, 77-75 in overtime, to Southern Indiana, and 73-53 to No. 25 Bellarmine. Sophomore guard Shelbi Patterson leads Illinois Springfield with 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds/game.

GLVC TOURNAMENT: The Great Lakes Valley Tournament begins on Sunday at campus sites, with the winners advancing to the Family Arena in Saint Charles, Mo., on March 4-6. Opening round pairings will be announced by the conference office tonight after all games are completed.
