(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 16) The McKendree University men's soccer contest against Maryville University was suspended due to lightning with just over 39 minutes left to play in the second half. The score was tied at 0-0 when the call to suspend the game was made.

Earlier in the first period, the team was hit with an hour 17-minute delay as lightning was detected near the campus of Maryville.

This is the second lightning suspension of the Bearcats' 2016 campaign. The first coming last Friday, September 9 against Truman State University.

The game against Maryville will be continued from the point of interruption at a time to be announced.
