(Lebanon, Ill., Sept. 22) The McKendree University men's soccer team is back in action this weekend at Leemon Field on Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they take on University of Indianapolis and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when they face Saint Joseph's College.

Heading into the weekend, the Bearcats are 1-1-1 overall, and 0-1-1 in the GLVC. Seeking the first GLVC win of the 2016 campaign, the Bearcats will look to take advantage of a Greyhound squad who has been shut out three times this season and the Pumas who hold a 1-4 record overall.

Scouting the Greyhounds – Heading into the contest, the Greyhounds are 3-2-1 overall, and 1-2-1 in the GLVC. The Greyhounds' offense is led by the balanced attack of Javier Steinwascher, Jake Meyer, and James Jenkins who are tied for the team lead of two goals. The workload in net has been split between Miles Palmer and Chris Jones.

Scouting the Pumas – Heading into the weekend, the Pumas are 1-4 overall, and 1-2 in the GLVC. The Pumas' offense has only scored two goals in five games on the 2016 season. Julian Zylfiu leads the team with 3 points on the season. Adam Whybrow commands the defense for the Pumas, as he has collected 30 saves on the year.

The Bearcats hit the road next weekend when they travel to Lewis University on Friday, September 30 to play at 5:00 p.m. and University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday, October 2 for a noon contest.
