(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 23) – The McKendree University men's soccer team tied University of Indianapolis in a 0-0 contest. The Bearcats are now 1-1-2 overall, and 0-1-2 in the GLVC.

Both teams traded shots back and forth throughout the contest, however the Bearcats nor the Greyhounds were able to find the back of the net. The Greyhounds held the advantage during the match outshooting the Bearcats 15-9 but only placing five shots on goal.

Felipe Thompson (Santiago, Chile/Hurricane ) would lead the offensive charge for the Bearcats as he had two shots on the day.

The defense highlighted the the day by picking up its first shutout of the 2016 campaign. Eddie Starr (Columbia, IL/Columbia ) played all 110 minutes in net as he collected five saves during the match.

The Bearcats are back on the pitch on Sunday at Leemon Field when they take on Saint Joseph's College at 2:30 p.m.
