(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 8) The McKendree University men's soccer team kicks off Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play this weekend with two home contests at Leemon Field. The Bearcats are scheduled to face the Truman State University Bulldogs on Friday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. The weekend will wrap up as they will face the Quincy University Hawks on Sunday, September 11 at 2:30 p.m.

Scouting the Bulldogs – The Bearcats are 0-3 against the Bulldogs heading into this contest. Last time the two teams met, the Truman State took the contest with a 2-0 victory over the Bearcats. The GLVC preseason poll ranked the Bulldogs tied for 13^th with the Bearcats.

Scouting the Hawks – The Bearcats come into the contest against the Hawks winless in four meetings. McKendree will be looking to turn the tide from last year coming off of a 4-1 defeat to the Hawks in 2015. The GLVC preseason poll ranked the Hawks third.

The Bearcats will hit the road next week as they will travel to St. Louis, Missouri, to face off against Maryville University on September 16 at 2:30 p.m.
