(Lebanon, Ill., October 11) – The McKendree University men's soccer team is set for a Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) weekend out west when the team travels to Rockhurst University and Drury University.

The Bearcats
McKendree heads into the weekend looking to pick up its first GLVC win of the 2017 campaign. Gonzalo Correa (Santiago, Chile/Athletic Study Center) paces the McKendree offense with a team leading three goals. Fredrik Hansen (Oslo, Norway/Persbraaten Videregaaende Skole) adds to the offensive production with a game-winning penalty kick from the Oakland City contest and an assist in the then No. 11 Fort Hays victory. Goaltender Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) posts a .778 save percentage and one shutout on the 2017 campaign.

The Hawks
Rockhurst enters the weekend ranked fourth in the nation and on top of the GLVC standings. Last season, the Hawks advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. This season, Kaleb Jackson and Umoh Ufot lead the way for the offensive who add 16 and 12 points respectively. Logan Feldmann has started all 11 games in net posting a .821 save percentage adding six shutouts.

The Panthers
Drury enters the weekend looking to climb in the conference standings currently sitting outside GLVC Tournament reach in the ninth place spot. The Panthers offense is led by Ben Bruce who adds nine points on four goals and one assist. Nicholas Helin has started all 11 games in net posting a .810 save percentage along with four shutouts.
