(Kansas City, MO., October 13) – The McKendree University men's soccer team fell to 2-10 overall and 0-10 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they lost a 3-0 contest to No. 4 Rockhurst University this evening.
In the contest the Hawks outshot the Bearcats 19-4 putting nine shots on goal.
During the 17 minute of play Kaleb Jackson struck first for the Hawks as he put one inside the left post.
Rockhurst extended the lead to 2-0 in the 54 minute when Adam Michel found the back of the net from 18 yards out.
The Hawks added another in the 71 minute to cap a 3-0 victory as Ben McDonald found the back left part of the net from 15 yards.
Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) played all 90 minutes in net posting six saves.
The men's soccer team is back in action on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when the team travels to Drury University.
