(Kansas City, MO., October 13) – The No. 19 McKendree University women's soccer team improved to 10-1-2 overall and 7-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they defeated Rockhurst University 1-0 in an overtime contest.

In the contest the Bearcats outshot the Hawks 10-8 putting four shots on goal.

During the 92 minute of play in the first overtime Grace Neidhardt (Granite City, IL/Granite City ) ended the match as she put one past the Rockhurst goaltender. Madyson Mossman (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy) and Rachel Kaltwasser (Belleville, IL/Althoff Catholic) assisted on the goal.

Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) played all 92:06 minutes in net posting four saves including a penalty kick save in the second half to pick up her eighth shutout of the 2017 campaign.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday at Noon when the team travels to Drury University.
