(Lebanon, Ill., October 19) – The McKendree University men's soccer team concludes their regular season home schedule this weekend as the team welcomes Missouri S&T to Leemon Field on Friday and Maryville University on Sunday.

The Bearcats
McKendree heads into the weekend looking to pick up its first GLVC win of the 2017 campaign. Gonzalo Correa (Santiago, Chile/Athletic Study Center) paces the McKendree offense with a team leading three goals. Fredrik Hansen (Oslo, Norway/Persbraaten Videregaaende Skole) adds to the offensive production with a game-winning penalty kick from the Oakland City contest and an assist in the then No. 11 Fort Hays victory. Goaltender Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) posts a .768 save percentage and one shutout on the 2017 campaign.

The Miners
Missouri S&T enters Friday's contest 6-5-2 overall posting a 5-5-1 mark in the GLVC. The Miners currently sit eight in the GLVC standings, which is the last qualifying spot for the conference tournament. Chayse Richardson, David Murphy leads the offensive unit for the Miners producing 14 points on six goals and two helpers. Aaron Hohenstein has seen all 1237:23 minutes of play posting a .829 save percentage with three shutouts.  

The Saints
Maryville team heads into the weekend 9-2-2 overall posting a 7-2-2 mark in the GLVC. The Saints currently sit fourth in the conference standings. Pontus Gitselov paces the Saints offense posting 14 points on six goals and two assists. Christi Kjaersgaard holds down the fort in net posting a .816 save percentage with six shutouts on the 2017 campaign.
