(Lebanon, Ill., October 20) – The McKendree University women's soccer team moved to 11-1-3 overall and 8-1-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they defeated Missouri S&T 1-0 this evening.

In a contest that required extra time, McKendree dominated play as they outshot the Miners 26-10 putting 17 shots on cage compared to Missouri S&T's zero.

Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville ) would prove to be the overtime hero as she took advantage of a scramble in front of the net to end the match. Kate Bixby (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt North) provided the assist on the play.

In net for McKendree was Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) who picked up her ninth shutout of the 2017 campaign.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday, October 22 at Noon for senior day when the Bearcats host Maryville University.
