(Lebanon, Ill., October 6) – The McKendree University men's soccer team fell to 2-8 overall and 0-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they dropped a 1-0 contest to Truman State University this evening.

In the contest, McKendree outshot Truman State 15-13 however; the Bulldogs held the shots on goal advantage 8-6.

In the 38 minute of play, Brain Kane curved his corner kick into the net that proved to be the game winner.

James Stone (Eastbourne, England/Bede's Senior School) paced the Bearcat offense taking five shots putting three on frame.

Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) played all 90 minutes in net for McKendree tallying seven saves.

The men's soccer team is back in action on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when the team hosts William Jewell College.
