(Lebanon, Ill., October 8) – The McKendree University men's soccer team dropped to 2-9 overall and 0-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they fell to William Jewell College in double overtime this afternoon.

McKendree had plenty of scoring chances in the match posting 14 shots as well as seven corner kick opportunities.

In the 104 minute of play, Evan Miller headed a William Jewell corner kick into the back of the net to end the contest.

Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) was tested multiple times during regulation stopping eight shots for the McKendree defense.

The men's soccer team is back in action on Friday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. when the team travels to Rockhurst University.
