(Lebanon, Ill., October 6) – The McKendree University women's soccer team moved to 8-1-2 overall and 5-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they played to a 0-0 tie with Truman State University this evening.

In a contest that determined no winner, McKendree held the upper hand in scoring chances leading in shots 18-11, shots on goal 7-4, and corner kicks 9-2.

Reigning GLVC Goaltender of the Year, Katie Mattingly displayed her presence in net as she was tested multiple times by the McKendree offense however did not break.

For the Bearcats, Grace Neidhardt (Granite City, IL/Granite City ) paced the offense as she posted five shots with two on frame.

In net for McKendree was Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) who collected four saves along with her sixth shutout of the 2017 campaign.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday at Noon when the team hosts William Jewell College.
