(Lebanon, Ill., Feb. 1) – The McKendree University men's wrestling team improved to 12-5 overall as they took down No. 25 Lindenwood University 23-11 this evening.
McKendree controlled the dual as they won seven of the 10 matches. Lindenwood would keep the scoring within distance as they posted two major decision victories at 125 and 184 pounds by their nationally ranked wrestlers.
In the 133-pound match-up
NaQuan Hardy (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) would post a 5-2 decision over No. 5 Hunter Haralson. #2
Darren Wynn (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) (141) recorded a 24-8 tech fall victory to give McKendree the 8-4 lead.

Ryan Strope (Westphalia, Mo./Fatima) (157) improved to 29-7 on the 2016-17 campaign with the 3-0 decision over Tim Bogar. No. 9
Austin Geerlings (Kentwood, MI/East Kentwood) (165) took a 5-2 decision victory to move the score to 14-4.
Nick Foster (Belleville, IL) (174) claimed a 3-1 decision over Batchka Zulkhuu.
J.J. Filipek (Warrenton, Mo./Warrenton) (197) returned to the McKendree lineup with a 3-2 decision over Dillion Archer.
No. 2 senior captain
Coltyn Pease (Pittsfield, Ill./Pittsfield) (285) concluded his final match in the Statham Center with a 4-0 decision over Jake Borgmeyer.
The wrestling team is back in action on Saturday as they travel to Indianapolis to dual Bellarmine University at 10 a.m. ET and University of Indianapolis at Noon ET.
