(Lebanon, Ill., March 3) – The McKendree University women's lacrosse team looks to build off its 21-6 win over Rockhurst University last Sunday, as they host Concordia University, St. Paul this Sunday at 11 a.m. at Leemon Field.

Coming into the contest, the McKendree offense is averaging 17.5 goals per game. The Bearcats are shooting .500 percent from the field averaging 35 shots per game. Senior Victoria Lelo (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) paves the way for the offensive unit with 12 goals and two assists. Paige Salthouse (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy) adds to the production with seven goals. Hannah Sugarman (Holden, MA/Wachusett Regional ) contributes to the offense tallying five goals and one helper.

Defensively, the Bearcats enter the match allowing 12 goals per game, allowing opponents to 21 shots per game. Amy Porta (Ellisville, MO/Marquette) commands the defensive unit between the pipes collecting seven saves on the 2017 campaign. Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Stacey Wright (Whangarei, New Zealand/Westlake Girls ) leads McKendree with six groundballs while causing two turnovers. Lelo, Salthouse, Emily Nelson (Deephaven, MN/Holy Family Catholic), and Ola Abdallah (Florissant, MO/Hazelwood West) follow with four groundballs.

Scouting the Golden Bears
The Golden Bears enter the match at 3-2 overall coming off of a 16-12 victory over Rockhurst University on Friday. Concordia's offense averages 13.25 goals per game while allowing 11 per game. Alina Boyce leads the Golden Bears with 13 goals and two assists for 15 points. Kailey Heinl follows with 11 points tallying 10 goals and one helper. Katie Lottsfeldt holds a 3-2 record in cage posting a .371 save percentage.
