(Lebanon, Ill., September 21) – The McKendree University men's soccer team looks to climb the conference standings this weekend as it hosts two Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) contests with Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis heading to Leemon Field.

The Bearcats
McKendree heads into the weekend looking to pick up its first GLVC win of the 2017 campaign. Gonzalo Correa (Santiago, Chile/Athletic Study Center) paces the McKendree offense with a team leading two goals. Fredrik Hansen (Oslo, Norway/Persbraaten Videregaaende Skole) adds to the offensive production with a game-winning penalty kick from the Oakland City contest and an assist in the then No. 11 Fort Hays victory. Ian Bender (Edwardsville, IL/Scott Gallagher Academy) has collected 22 saves on the 2017 campaign posting a .759 save percentage.

The Rangers
Wisconsin-Parkside heads into Friday's contest at 1-5 overall posting a 1-3 record in the GLVC. Earlier this season, the Rangers upset then No. 19 Maryville University 2-1. Leli Prpa and Vic Vera added goals for Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Flyers
Lewis enters the weekend at 3-3 overall with a 2-2 mark in the GLVC. The Flyers open up the weekend at Missouri-St. Louis on Friday. Leading the charge for the Flyers offense is Nico Mueller who leads the team with three goals and two assists. John Horstman adds to the production with two goals and one assist. Philip Huang has seen majority of time in net posting a .774 save percentage.
