(Lebanon, Ill., September 22) – The McKendree University women's soccer team moved to 5-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they tied the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in a scoreless contest this evening.

In a contest that featured 110 minutes of play, McKendree held the 20-13 shot advantage. The Rangers however put eight shots on frame compared to the Bearcats seven.

McKendree's best scoring chance came off the foot of Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville ) in the first as Ranger goaltender, Adrianna Bratel deflected her shot slowing it down allowing a back line defender to clear the ball from entering the net.

In the 62 minute of play Jane Skaggs (St. Charles, MO/Duchesne ) drilled the crossbar on the free kick attempt giving McKendree another scoring chance.

O'Leary led the way for the Bearcat offense totally six shots with four on cage. Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) added her third shutout of the 2017 campaign as she collected eight saves.

The women's soccer team is back in action on Sunday at Noon when the team hosts Lewis University.
