(Lebanon, Ill., September 24) – The McKendree University men's soccer team fell to 2-5 overall and 0-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) as they dropped a 1-0 overtime contest to Lewis University this evening.
The Bearcats held the shot advantage 11-10 over the Flyers however Lewis put six shots on fame compared to the McKendree four.
James Stone (Eastbourne, England/Bede's Senior School) paced the offensive unit totaling four shots with two on frame.
Ryan Herling (Belleville, IL/Belleville West) also made his Bearcat debut putting two shots on goal.
In net for McKendree was
Brett Niedzwiecki (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville High School) who posted five saves in 90:58 minutes of play.
The men's soccer team is back in action on Friday, September 29 at 5 p.m. when the team travels to Illinois-Springfield for a GLVC matchup.
