BRUNO CLASSIC TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 31) – The McKendree University women's water polo team is set to host Lindenwood University at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The Bearcats then hit the road to compete at the Bruno Classic hosted by Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island for four contests. McKendree is set for games beginning on Friday night at 7:15 p.m. EST against Brown University. Saturday the Bearcats will take on Wagner College at 11:30 a.m. EST, followed by a matchup against Bucknell University at 6:30 p.m. EST. McKendree will close out the tournament on Sunday against Hartwick College at 12:15 p.m. EST.
 
The Bearcats are 1-3 on the season, after defeating Saint Louis University in the home opener by a score of 19-0. McKendree then traveled to the Hoosier Invite hosted by Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where the Bearcats went head-to-head with No. 14 University of California – Santa Barbara, No. 19 Harvard University, and No. 12 Indiana University.
 
Freshman attacker Emily Westlove leads the Bearcats in scoring with 11 goals along with seven steals. Sophomore attacker Brianna Mullalley has netted five goals, with one assist, and three steals in four games this season. Senior goaltender Gabby Madewell, freshman goaltender Crystal Armstrong, and freshman goaltender Aliyah Martinez have split time in the cage registering 31 saves between the three.
