(ST. LOUIS, MO, Oct 14) – The McKendree University women's soccer team fell for the first time in seven games to the Saints of Maryville University 2-0 this Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats now sit at 11-2-1 overall and 7-2-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play.
McKendree outshot Maryville eight to three, but were dead even in shots on goal with three apiece. Maryville was able to able to force momentum in their direction early into the match after scoring their first goal in just the fourth minute of play. They would go on to score their second and final goal early into the second half as well by heading a shot into the Bearcat net in the 59

The women's soccer team will return to the pitch Friday, October 19 at 5:00 p.m. as they host Truman State in another GLVC battle.
