(LEBANON, Ill., Oct 1) – The McKendree University women's soccer team was defeated in overtime against the Bulldogs of Truman State Friday Evening. The Bearcats now sit at 11-3-1 overall and 7-3-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play.
 
The Bearcats were outshot by Truman State 15 to nine in a fast-paced match. Despite each team receiving plenty of scoring opportunities, the game was sent into overtime, where the Bulldogs were the first team to find the back of the net just 31 seconds into the first overtime period. Goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) made six saves for the Bearcats during Friday's loss.
 
The women's soccer team will return to action Sunday, October 21 at 12:00 p.m. as they host Rockhurst University for senior day in another GLVC battle.
